5 Ways to Make Your Galentine’s Day Event Special
1| Create a compliment jar
Place a compliment jar (any vessel will do with some paper and pens) in a common area and everyone writes compliments about one another throughout the night.
Before you all go your separate ways, gather around and read them out loud.
2| Game night, because duh?
What’s a girls night without games? We love anything interactive that gets everyone energized and involved in the festivities!
Have each friend bring their favorite game (and a prize for winners) or try some of these free games that can be played while you’re mixing and mingling!
3| Setup a Galentine’s Day confessional
Have you ever watched reality TV where there is always a confessional set up for the cast members to give their thoughts and opinions? That’s exactly what I mean here!
Create a space in a secluded area where you and your friends can go and record yourselves giving commentary on the event, and whatever else you feel like saying!
If you have a spare phone, setting it up with a ring light is ideal.
Otherwise, each person can film on their own phone and send you their footage so that you can compile them into a single video.
4| Include a book swap
Book swaps are when you and your friends bring a favorite book to exchange with another person at the party.
Each friend wraps their book in cute wrapping paper and sticks a note on the outside that expresses why they love the story.
You can choose to keep the identities of who brought each book a secret or not, but don’t include the book title on the note.
For the book swap, use a "White Elephant" style approach. Each person can unwrap a book and either keep it or steal a previously opened one.
5| Use conversation starters
No matter how much you and your friends may talk, sometimes there are moments when it gets awkwardly silent, and then everyone begins to scroll on their phone.
Let’s stop that by using conversation starters that will keep the girl talk flowing and the bonding uninterrupted.
